Abstract

The invention provides a laser beam combining system and a laser beam combining method thereof. According to the invention, no limitation is set for the laser wavelength, the phase, the polarization state, the quantity and the like of multiple lasers. The laser beam combining system is configured to change the number of the reflecting surfaces of a polyhedral reflector, so as to realize the laserbeam combining purpose of multiple light paths, wherein the number of light paths is unlimited. A light beam refraction and reflection device is configured to turn back the light paths of multiple laser beams, so that the overall structure of the laser beam combining system is more compact. Meanwhile, a telescoping device is configured to realize the convergence of light focusing points at a remote target point, so that the beam combining purpose of multiple laser beams can be met. On the premise that each path of the laser beam output is not changed at all and the laser wavelength, the phase,the polarization state, the quantity and the like of multiple lasers are not limited at all, multiple laser beams are combined through a spatial beam combining method, the optical power of the outputlaser is doubled. The laser beam combining system is low in performance requirements for multiple lasers, and the heat effect problem generated by high-power laser can be well solved.
