Abstract

The invention provides an electronic device capable of judging the type of a connecting device. The electronic device comprises a connecting port, a processing unit, a switching unit and a control unit, the switching unit correspondingly changes the voltage level of the detection node along with the voltage levels of the pin 43 (Pin43) and the pin 53 (Pin51) on the connection port. The control unit selectively connects the connection port to the PCI-E interface or the SATA interface of the processing unit in a communication manner according to the voltage level of the detection node. When thevoltage level of the detection node is a high voltage level, the control unit electrically connects the connection port to the PCI-E interface interface of the processing unit.
