Abstract

The invention discloses an implantable multi-channel artificial vestibular device. The implantable multi-channel artificial vestibular device comprises a power supply management system, a multi-axis motion sensor, a central processor, an information processing module, a closed loop output driver, an electrode management system, a service software system, a biological electrode array, and a neuralnetwork; the power supply management system is electrically connected with the central processor; the central processor is electrically connected with the information processing module, the multi-axismotion sensor and the closed loop output driver; the closed loop output driver is electrically connected with the electrode management system; the electrode management system is electrically connected with the biological electrode array; the power supply management system is in signal connection with the service software system; and the biological electrode array is connected with the neural network. The implantable multi-channel artificial vestibular device fundamentally solves the problem of sensory information input to the vestibular nervous system. The implantable multi-channel artificialvestibular device is used for transforming head movement information into vestibular nerve signals, as well as inputting the vestibular nerve signals to the vestibular sensory pathway so as to reconstruct missing vestibular nerve functions; and thus, the implantable multi-channel artificial vestibular device is similar to cochlear implant for auditory reconstruction.
