Embodiment Construction

[0024] figure 1 A system 1 for securely connecting a watch to a remote server 200 is shown. In this system 1, the watch 100 is preferably a mechanical watch 100 connected to a hybrid display. In this context, watch 100 comprises a body, such as a watch case, and an attachment element, such as a wristband, which allows fastening the body, for example, to the wrist of a wearer. The watch 100 includes more specifically, in a non-limiting and / or non-exhaustive manner:

[0025] - a processing unit 2 comprising hardware and software resources, in particular at least one processor cooperating with a storage element 6;

[0026] - an interface 3 for broadcasting visual information, such as a mixed display dial provided with a first analog display assembly and a second numerical and / or alphanumeric display assembly;

[0027] - Interface 4 for broadcasting audio information such as speakers;

[0028] - wireless communication interface 5 (e.g. cellular, WLAN, Bluetooth, etc.);

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for securely connecting a watch (100) to a remote server (200) of a service provider. The method comprises the following steps: authenticating (9) a wearer of the watch (100) in order to authorize access to use functions of the watch (100); and selecting (11), from the input interface of the watch, one of the functions intended to establish a connection between the watch (100) and a remote server (200); identifying (12) a wearer of the watch (100) from at least one biometric information element comprised in a portion of the wearer's skin; and once the wearer is identified, transmitting (22) an authentication element relating to the selected function to said remote server (200), and performing, by the remote server (200), authentication (24) of the wearer from said authentication element in order to authorize a data exchange between the watch (100) and the remote server (200).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for securely connecting a watch to a remote server and a system implementing such a method. [0002] The invention also relates to computer programs. Background technique [0003] A watch includes a set of functions that can be used by the wearer. These functions may allow access to remote servers implementing service offerings, such as banking offerings, commercial offerings (online stores, e-commerce companies), electronic messaging or instant messaging offerings. In such a scenario, the wearer of the watch must manage and store an increasing number of identifiers, passwords and access codes as elements of authentication. Such an authentication element is typically worn by the wearer when the wearer must initiate a connection to a remote server in order to benefit from the provision of the service. For this reason, usually, wearers who cannot remember all this confidential data tend to file them together i...
