The method comprises the steps of obtaining point cloud scanning data of a switch cabinet; dividing the point cloud scanning data into at least one sub-cubic space body corresponding to different hierarchies according to the segmentation depth of a point cloud octree correspondingly established by the point cloud scanning data; scanning and traversing the at least one sub-cubic space body, determining a corresponding spatial index value, determining a corresponding octree code according to the spatial index value, and converting the octree code into a corresponding point cloud format file; and for different hierarchies, creating a point cloud format file of the at least one sub-cubic space body corresponding to the exclusive file storage. According to the data organization method realized based on the regular octree, operation such as indexing, storage and access search is optimized for the point cloud data of the switch cabinet, and performance waste is avoided.
