The invention discloses a system log analysis method and device, and the method comprises the steps: classifying system log rules according to a matching method, and classifying the system log rules with the same matching method into one class; generating and loading a matching function corresponding to each type of system log rules, and determining a corresponding relationship between each system log rule and the matching function; and performing matching analysis on the system log by utilizing a matching function corresponding to the to-be-matched system log rule. When the system log is subjected to matching analysis, the matching function corresponding to the to-be-matched system log rule can be adaptively and dynamically adjusted, and meanwhile, only the matching method contained in the matching function corresponding to the to-be-matched system log rule needs to be matched; and other matching methods except the matching function corresponding to the to-be-matched system log rule do not need to be matched, so that the system log matching analysis efficiency can be greatly improved.
