Abstract

An apparatus for transferring hydrocarbons from a subsea source to a vessel (1), wherein the risers (2) are suspended from a rotating body (8) and communicate with a swivel unit (3) comprising a number of swivel rings (5) having outlets (6) connected to a pipe system (7) on the vessel. The apparatus comprises a block (25) arranged between the risers (2) and the swivel unit (3) and provided with interior ducts (28) for connection of the risers (2) with respective swivel rings (5), and means (29) for selective closing of the ducts (28) are arranged between the risers (2) and the swivel unit (3). These means are integrated in the block (25). In an advantageous embodiment the block (25) is also provided with means (33) for selective interconnection of two or more of the ducts (28) in the block.
