A method for monitoring and forecasting the sudden flooding in mine includes such steps as searching a small water-bearing layer in the coal bed of Permo-Carboniferous period stratum for using it as monitor layer, locating the water level monitoring holes to form a monitor network, drilling each hole to said monitor layer, arranging the sleeve tube in each hole, installing water level sensors, pressure meters and data acquisition system, electrically connecting them to computer on the ground, and calculating and analyzing to obtain forecast information.
