Abstract

A label attaching apparatus (100) includes a supplying mechanism (10), an attaching mechanism (30), and a label supplying mechanism (50). The supplying mechanism (10) has a holding mechanism (15) which holds a test tube (1) in a standing attitude, and an elevating mechanism (11) which moves up and down the holding mechanism (15) between an attaching position (P1) and a waiting position (P2) in which the holding mechanism (15) is receded above from the attaching position (P1). The attaching mechanism (30) rotates the test tube (1) having been moved down to the attaching position (P1) by the supplying mechanism (10) in a circumferential direction of the test tube, and attaches a label (2) to an external peripheral surface of the test tube (1) by winding the label(2) around the external peripheral surface.
