Embodiment Construction

[0024] exist image 3 and 4 In this case, the helmet 1 comprises: an inner layer formed by a deformable foam padding 7; flexible connection means, for example formed by a cap 8; and an outer layer formed by a plurality of rigid outer shell parts 9. The housing parts 9 are fixed firmly to the cap 8 and are hinged to each other via the cap 8 . A cap 8 , preferably made of a flexible textile material or natural elastomer, covers the foam padding 7 and ensures the articulation between the shell parts 9 . The shell part 9 is fixed and arranged on the cap 8 in such a way as to form a crown part 9a, an occipital part 9b, four lateral side parts 9c and a front part 9d. exist image 3 In the particular embodiment of the helmet 1 shown, the different shell parts 9 are not connected, but are separated from each other by a gap 10 . These separating gaps 10 allow the shell part 9 to articulate very flexibly when the helmet 1 is worn on the user's head.

Abstract

The inventive protective helmet (1) consists of a deformable cap (7), a plurality of scales (9) and connecting means which is made of a flexible material and joints the scales (9) therebetween. Said scales (9) are distributed through the cap (7) in such a way that at least one dome scale (9a), at least one occipital scale and a plurality of transversal side scales (9c) are formed. The scales (9) and connecting means are connected to the cap (7) in such a way that a slight sliding is enabled between the cap (7) and at least one part of the scales (9). In the preferred embodiment, the inventive helmet (1) also comprises an element (14) for adjusting a head circumference of the helmet (1) and optimising a user comfort.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a protective helmet comprising: a deformable inner foam liner; a plurality of rigid outer shell parts arranged in scales on the foam liner to form at least one crown part, at least one occiput part and a plurality of lateral side parts; and connecting means made of flexible material to connect between these parts. Background technique [0002] A variety of sports or recreational activities require the use of protective helmets. Generally, the helmet is relatively heavy and large, and has an integral shell to ensure protection and safety, thereby compromising the user's pursuit of aesthetics and comfort. [0003] Thus, document WO-A1-9806285 describes a protective helmet that can be adjusted to the shape of the user's head in order to guarantee protection, safety and comfort. In FIGS. 1 and 2, the helmet 1 includes: an inner layer 3 formed by a shock-absorbing element 2; and a plurality of members 3a to 3g fixed on the...
