Embodiment Construction

[0017] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a tool-holding apparatus 20 includes a board 25, a plurality of holders 24 formed on the board 25 and a handle 21 extending from the board 25.

[0018] Each holder 24 includes a stand 26 extending perpendicularly from the board 25, a first pressing element 27 extending from the stand 26 along a curve, a second pressing element 28 extending rectilinearly from the stand 26 and a protrusion 29 extending horizontally from the second pressing element 28. The first and second pressing elements 27 and 28 are located on opposite sides of the stand 26. The protrusion 29 includes a smooth profile. A stop 32 extends from the stand 26 of each holder 24. The stop 32 is substantially shaped like a triangle. Next to the stand 26 of each holder 24, recess 34 is defined for receiving a spanner 30 or 31 (see FIG. 5). Between the first pressing element 27 of a holder 24 and the second pressing element 28 o...

Description

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION [0001] 1. Field of Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a tool-holding apparatus. [0003] 2. Related Prior Art [0004] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a conventional tool-holding apparatus 10 includes a board 11, two rows of holders 14 formed on the board 11, a cover 13 located between the rows of holders 14 for covering spanners 15 (only one is shown) and a handle 12 connected with the board 11. Each holder 14 includes a size mark for indicating the size of a spanner to be held thereby. Each holder 14 includes a first section 16, a second section 17 and a third section 18. A stop 19 is formed on an upper end of the first section 16. A gap 35 exists between the first section 16 of one of the holders 14 and the third section 18 of another holder 14. A gap 38 exists between the third section 18 and the board 11. Near the first section 16 of each holder 14, a recess 39 is defined in the board 11 for receiving a spanner 15. Each holder 14 is an elastomer. ...
