A shoe protector device for a trainer for the prevention of toe holes. The applicator consists of two display cards 2L and 2R each having the sole area 6 of a left foot and right foot respectively printed thereon. Additionally, a toe protector patch 12 with liner 8, is secured to a top end of the sole area of each card 2L and 2R in a position that would be occupied by a toe, such as a big toe. A low-tack semi-permanent adhesive secures the patch to the applicator so as to allow the patch to disengage from the applicator when a pulling force is applied.

Foot support systems include sole structures, portions of sole structures, drop-in midsole components, insertable sole components (e.g., midsoles or insoles), or the like. The foot support systems may include a foam base member (e.g., made from a relatively thick foam material) and at least one fluid-filled bladder. The fluid-filled bladder(s) may include one or more interior fluid chambers. When multiple interior fluid chambers are present, they may be at substantially the same or different pressures. A ski binding release system includes a spring that is releasably maintained in a first state using a pyrotechnic fastener. In the first state, a ski boot is secured in the ski binding. The pyrotechnic fastener is electrically coupled to an activation circuit. The activation circuit includes a battery, a plurality of sensors, a switch, and a controller. When the controller determines that the skier has fallen, the controller generates an output signal that transitions the switch from a disconnected state to a connected state. In the disconnected state, the pyrotechnic fastener is electrically disconnected from the battery. In the connected state, the pyrotechnic fastener is electrically connected to the battery. Electrical energy from the battery causes the pyrotechnical fastener to explode to transition the spring from the first state to a second state to release the ski boot from the ski binding.
