The invention discloses a King grass and papaya skin mixed silage which is characterized by comprising the following components in percentage by weight: 65-85 percent of damp-dry King grass and 15-35 percent of papaya skin, wherein the water content of the damp-dry King grass is 70 percent, and the water content of the papaya skin is 30 percent. The water content of the damp-dry King grass is reduced through drying treatment, and the papaya skin is added so as to supplement soluble sugar of an ensiling fermentation substrate, so that the King grass ensiling is easy to succeed. Through the treatment, the pH value and the ammonium nitrogen content of the silage are reduced, the lactic acid content is increased, and the ensiling quality is significantly improved. The fiber content is reduced, the nutritive value of the King grass silage is improved, and the operation is simple and effective. The silage has important significances for achieving the purposes of balance of coarse fodder resource supply, reasonable utilization of industrial by-products, and improvement of the ecological environment.
