Problems solved by technology

But in the actual GPRS application environment, there are some "hot spot" areas, and the number of users in these "hot spot" areas is very large, causing the GB processing unit user load connected to the "hot spot" area in the system to be overloaded, or the "hot spot" area "The amount of data in the area is extremely large, exceeding the design specifications of the GB processing units, so that these GB processing units cannot access new users or cannot normally complete the transmission of user data

Embodiment Construction

[0042] The method for dynamically adjusting cells of the present invention ensures that the load among GB processing units for load sharing can be evenly distributed according to the resource load in the presence of "hot spot" areas, thereby ensuring that the SGSN system can normally access users and can operate smoothly.

[0043] reference image 3 , The figure is a flowchart of the method for dynamically adjusting a cell of the present invention.

[0044] First, in step 10, the source GB processing unit that initiates cell adjustment sends a status query request to other load sharing GB processing units in the SGSN;

[0045] In specific implementation, each time the SGSN system accesses a new user, it needs to allocate resources to the new user. At this time, it is necessary to determine the resource usage of the GB processing unit of the accessing user. If the conditions are met, the resource LocalResource used by the GB processing unit is greater than the origin The context thr...

Abstract

The method is applicable to general packet radio service (GPRS) system. The method includes steps: (1) source GB process unit of initiating adjustment of subzone sends request for state query to other GB of sharing burthen in serving GPRS support node SGSN; (2) receiving the said request, other GB returns own information of state to the source GB process unit; (3) based on information of state, the source GB process unit adjusts subzone to other GB process unit of sharing burthen. When GB process unit in 'hotspot area' occurs in network, the invention can adjust subzone in hotspot area to other GB process unit. Advantages are: in favor of using network resources reasonably, and raising flexibility for system to treat user access.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for realizing cell adjustment applied in a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) system. Background technique [0002] GPRS, as a transition technology from the second-generation mobile communication technology GSM to the third-generation mobile communication (3G, 3rdGeneration), is one of the contents implemented by the GSM Phase2+ (1997) specification. It is a mobile packet data service based on GSM. The user provides mobile packet IP or X.25 connection. [0003] GPRS superimposes a new network on the basis of the existing GSM network. At the same time, some hardware equipment and software upgrades are added to the network to form a new network logical entity, providing end-to-end, wide-area wireless IP connection. In layman's terms, GPRS is a high-speed data processing technology. It is based on packet switching technology. Thro...
