Abstract

The invention provides a method for fetching and identifying the bit rate characteristic of a digital TV signal and a device thereof, which belong to the communication field. The invention provides a device which describes the characteristic parameter of the digital TV bit rate simply and effectively and adopts the characteristic parameter to identify the digital TV bit rate content. The device provided by the invention comprises a sending terminal formed by at least one collecting device and a processor coupled with the collecting device and a receiving terminal formed by at least one collecting device and a control processor coupled with the collecting device. The invention overcomes the limitation that the bit rate contrast method adopted by the digital signal transmission monitoring is dependent on the originally sent signal bit rate. By fetching and identifying the bit rate characteristic of the digital TV, the transmission characteristic parameter of only one low broadband channel is adopted in order to ensure that monitoring points of the digital TV signal are distributed at any places within the range covered by the digital TV broadcast network flexibly, thereby effectively enlarging the monitoring range.
