Abstract

The invention discloses a method for calculating luminous efficiency of a vacuum fluorescent display. The invention measures the anode current and brightness of each sample in experiment through selection of VFD made from eight color fluorescent powders, applies a Weibull distribution function to describe the distribution of luminous efficiency, utilizes a right approaching method to quantificationally research the influence of the anode voltage on the luminous efficiency of the VFD and finally gives the method for calculating the luminous efficiency of the VFD along the change of the anode voltage. The method has the advantages that: by adopting the method, a formula for calculating the luminous efficiency of the VFD with different types made from eight color fluorescent powders can be obtained; and the formula does not need experiment to measure the anode current and brightness, can accurately and rapidly obtain the luminous efficiency of the VFD only according to the design value of the anode voltage of the VFD and provides powerful and reliable guidance meaning for manufacturers and research and technical personnel to further accurately calculate the brightness property of theVFD and developing a high-brightness and low-voltage VFD product.
