Abstract

Provided is a gateway device which can interconnect a communication terminal connected to a mobile line switching network with a partner terminal via a mobile IMS network and can realize voice call. The gateway device is arranged between the mobile line switching network and the mobile IMS network, and provided with a conversion unit (151) for converting a control signal outputted from the mobile line switching network into at least one of a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) or a SDP (Session Description Protocol), in order to output the converted signal to the mobile IMS network, and receiving a line switching protocol which is outputted from the mobile line switching network and used for audio. The conversion unit judges, by using the at least one of the SIP or the SDP outputted from the mobile IMS network, whether the partner terminal is connected to the mobile line switching network, connected to a fixed network, or connected to a mobile broadband network via the mobile IMS network, converts an inputted line switching protocol into a different protocol according to the result of the judgment, and outputs the different protocol to the mobile IMS network.
