Abstract

The invention relates to a method for screening drugs for treating neurodegenerative diseases and provides novel ways for screening the drugs for treating the neurodegenerative diseases by using the combination of an atomic force microscope (AFM) and electrochemistry. Potential drugs for treating the neurodegenerative diseases are screened through the topographic image change and the electrochemical working curve signal change of the potential drugs by using the combination of an AFM method and an electrochemical method. The method provided by the invention has the advantages that the operation is simple and convenient, the amount of consumption of reagents and samples is little, the screening cycle is short, the operation in a nearly physiological environment can be simulated and the result which is mutually verified by the two methods is true and reliable. The method for screening the drugs for treating the neurodegenerative diseases is suitable for strong-bond and low-bond systems and can be used for drug screening of natural products (such as traditional Chinese drugs), synthetic drugs and biological engineered drugs.
