Abstract

The disclosed treatment instrument (1) for an endoscope is provided with: a pair of forceps members (first forceps member (11), second forceps member (12)) which are supported so as to be reciprocally rotatable by a forceps rotation shaft; an operating unit which implements the opening and closing operation of the pair of forceps members; an operating wire which connects the pair of forceps members and the operating unit; an insertion unit wherein the operating wire is inserted; a cover (14) which fixes the forceps rotation shaft to the insertion unit; a connection member which has a link rotation shaft, and which is provided at the tip section of the operating wire; and a pair of link members (first link member (35), second link member (36)) the first ends of which are rotatably connected to the respective base end sections of the forceps members via a rotation shaft member (38, 39), and the second ends of which are rotatably connected to the link rotation shaft. The cover (14) has grooves (14A, 14B) which regulate the movement of the rotation shaft members, in a direction which approaches the axial line (X1) of the operating wire, by engaging with the ends of the rotation shaft members.
