The submerged arc slag comprises the following chemical compositions in percentage by weight: more than 35 percent and less than 45 percent of CaO, more than 6 percent and less than 10 percent of Al2O3, more than 5 percent and less than 8 percent of MgO, more than 3 percent and less than 5 percent of Na2O, less than 5 percent of SiO2, more than 3 percent and less than 5 percent of C and the balance of impurities. The blocky limestone and spherical materials including limestone powder, dolomite powder and the like are reasonably matched to improve the submerged arc performance.
