Embodiment Construction

[0019] In the following description of various embodiments, reference is made to the accompanying drawings which show schematic arrangements in which the invention may be practiced. It is to be understood that other embodiments may be utilized and changes may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. In addition, each term used herein is defined below.

[0020] The following describes several terms that are used schematically in the remainder of this disclosure to facilitate clarity and understanding of what is described herein. The concept of center of gravity is well known and understood by those skilled in the art. For example, a center of gravity can be described as a point in or near a body at which the gravitational potential energy of the body is equal to the gravitational potential energy of an individual particle of the same mass located at that point, through which the resulting mass on the constituent particles of the body Synthetic gravit...

Abstract

Golf club head (100), golf clubs and golf club heads and club sets are provided with a center of gravity indicator mechanism (141) housed on the rear side, which may include a longitudinal band (143) and a center of gravity locator structure (142) located on an axis transverse to the rear side and extending through the center of gravity of the body. The center of gravity locator structure can be fixed on the golf club head or variable. Additionally, a set of golf club heads is provided wherein the center of gravity indicator mechanism of each club in the set is varied because the center of gravity locator structure of each club head is varied. Golf club heads may be coupled to shafts and grips, among other structures, to form a golf club or set of golf clubs.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to golf clubs, and more particularly, to a golf club head having a visual indicator related to center of gravity. Background technique [0002] A golfer's aim and swing, including the golfer's backswing and downswing, are generally related to the golfer's performance on the golf course. A golfer who can consistently swing his golf club in a preferred manner hits the golf ball farther, straighter, and in a more consistent manner. Accuracy, control and direction can be improved when a golfer's swing has specific characteristics associated with a preferred swing direction and path of motion. Similarly, optimal alignment of the golf club head and golf ball can also promote optimal golfer performance. However, many golfers have difficulty swinging a golf club according to a particular preferred swing direction and path of motion. Similarly, a golfer may also have difficulty aligning a golf club head to obtain a preferred al...
