A fuel injection system is provided with the following components: a pressure accumulation part (60); a cylinder (59); a plunger (51) which generates volume change in a pressure chamber (53) through pressurizing movement, thereby pressurizing and conveying fuel to the pressure accumulation part; an injection part which is provided with injectors (71-74) that inject the fuel after pressure accumulation at the pressure accumulation part; and a control part (70) which controls the amount of the fuel that is injected from the injectors. The control part is provided with the following components: a pressurization conveying amount calculation part which calculates the pressurization conveying amount of the fuel that is injected from the injectors to the pressure accumulation part; and a correction amount determination part which determines the correction amount in the injection period based on the pressurization conveying amount in the injection period. The pressurization conveying amount calculation part calculates the leakage amount of the fuel which leaks through a clearance between an inner circumferential surface of the pressure chamber and an outer circumferential surface of the plunger, and calculates the pressurization conveying amount through the calculated leakage amount and the volume change amount in the pressure chamber, wherein the volume change amount corresponds with the plunger stroke in pressurization movement.
