Abstract

The invention discloses a simple method for measuring and calculating potato block dry matter rate and belongs to a determination method of tuber crop quality index. Hardness of potato pulp is used as an independent variable x, the potato block dry matter rate servers as a dependent variable y, x and y are substituted in a regression equation: y=2.553x-2.650, and the corresponding potato block dry matter rate (y) is figured out. A specific operation method includes: using a fruit hardness meter as a potato pulp hardness measuring tool; selecting potato blocks of moderate sizes; beveling the potato blocks from the middles; selecting a plurality of evenly-distributed measuring points on each oblique section; using the fruit hardness meter for measuring potato pulp hardness of each measuring point; and figuring out average valve x of potato pulp hardness of all measuring points of two oblique sections, substituting in the regression equation, and figuring out the corresponding potato block dry matter rate y. The simple method for measuring and calculating the potato block dry matter rate has the advantages of being simple in operation method, rapid, time-saving, energy-saving and safe.
