In one embodiment, the packaging assembly is used in conjunction with a confectionary product, such as chewing gum. Packaging components include packaging and overwraps. In one embodiment, a package for an assembly includes a body defining a container for receiving a confectionary product and an outer surface for displaying a non-literal design. Non-textual designs may include, but are not limited to, images or graphics, for example. The assembly may also provide a removable overwrap disposed about the main body of the package. The outer wrapper may be substantially opaque and include textual product information.
