Abstract

The present invention provides a display device and electronic equipment with a touch detection function capable of suppressing the connection resistance of a selection switch for selecting a drive electrode to which a drive signal is applied and narrowing the edge. A display device with a touch detection function includes a touch detection electrode facing a drive electrode and forming an electrostatic capacitance therebetween, and detects the position of an approaching object based on a detection signal from the touch detection electrode. The display device with touch detection function includes: a plurality of switch groups arranged corresponding to the driving electrodes, each including a plurality of selection switches, and the plurality of switch groups select the driving electrodes connected to the touch wiring according to the selection signal of the control device. A plurality of selection switches for each driving electrode are connected in parallel between the touch wiring and the driving electrodes, and operate corresponding to each driving electrode according to a selection signal, thereby connecting the touch wiring and the driving electrodes, and applying a touch driving signal.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a display device and an electronic device capable of detecting an external approaching object, and more particularly, to a display device and an electronic device with a touch detection function capable of detecting an external approaching object approaching the outside based on a change in electrostatic capacitance. Background technique [0002] In recent years, a touch detection device capable of detecting an external approaching object called a touch panel has attracted attention. The touch panel is used in a display device with a touch detection function in which a touch detection device is mounted on or integrated with a display device such as a liquid crystal display device. In addition, the display device with a touch detection function can display various button images and the like on the display device, so that information input can be performed using a touch panel instead of normal mechanical buttons. Since s...
