Abstract

The pharmaceutical composition is prepared from total anthraquinones, a clathrate compound of volatile oil of pogostemon cablin and total flavonoids of pogostemon cablin which are extracted from medicinal materials rheum officinale and pogostemon cablin. By using extracts as a formula base and adjusting and screening proportional optimization of three components which reduces blood lipid by taking pharmacology as indexes, compared with extracts naturally obtained by the original formula Huangxiang particles, the proportion of the clathrate compound of volatile oil of pogostemon cablin and the total flavonoids of pogostemon cablin is reduced by 50%. Results of animal pharmacological experiments verify that the pharmaceutical composition has a remarkable effect on reduction of blood lipid.
