The method includes that a server in a public network transmits a message for acquiring the type of a first NAT device to a first service device in the first NAT device, and the first service device feeds back the type of the first NAT device to the server; the server transmits a message for acquiring the type of a second NAT device to a second service device in the second NAT device, and the second service device feeds back the type of the second NAT device to the server; the server judges whether to set the types of the NAT devices or not according to the acquired types of the first NAT device and the second NAT device; if yes, the messages for setting the NAT types are transmitted; if not, the messages for setting the NAT types are not transmitted; the corresponding NAT devices perform resetting of the NAT types according to the set messages.
