Abstract

The present invention provides a GPON link amplifier. The GPON link amplifier is arranged in a line between a local side optical line terminal and a client optical network unit, is used to amplify a downlink optical signal and an uplink optical signal which are transmitted in the line, and comprises an optical line local side ONU optical module, an optical line terminal OLT optical module, an uplink burst mode optical detection control module and a data processing unit. The GPON link amplifier provided by the present invention can satisfy the demands of the terminal users in the remote areas greatly, also can save the operation cost for erecting a local side machine room again, thereby reducing the terminal purchase cost and the daily operation cost substantially. The present invention also provides a control method of the GPON link amplifier.
