Embodiment Construction

[0051] Having described the main features of the present invention above, some preferred embodiments will be described in more detail and without limitation in the following paragraphs with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0052] In all these figures, the same reference numerals refer to the same features.

[0053] figure 1 , figure 2 and image 3 A first preferred embodiment of the mosaic pad unit A according to the present invention is best shown.

[0054] The body of the pad unit is made of elastomeric material, most preferably synthetic rubber 2 . A plurality of high-hardness steel units 3 are buried in the main body of the liner unit. Pad unit A has two surfaces. figure 1 The front surface 10 is shown to receive the impact load of material falling on the chute, figure 2 The shown rear surface (back) 11 is secured to Figure 7 The chute wall 12 shown. The main purpose of the invention is to protect this chute wall 12 .

Abstract

A mosaic liner unit (A) for chute / hopper lining comprises of a body having a front face (10) and a rear face (11). Each of the front face (10) and the rear face (11) is made of an elastomeric material (2). Within the elastomeric material is embedded a plurality of high hardness steel units (3). The front face (10) is adapted to take the impact load of material falling on the chute / hopper and the rear face (11) is fixed to chute / hopper wall (12).

Description

technical field [0001] This invention relates generally to chute / hopper liners in the material handling of bulk and abrasive solid bulk materials, and in particular to mosaicliners used as chute / hopper liners which provide resistance Due to the cushioning effect of large impact forces caused by the material falling on the chute wall and resistance to friction and wear. The cushioning effect is obtained by the presence of rubber in the steel matrix. A plurality of these liners are formed in a flat array to cover the surface of the chute / hopper wall or any surface desired to be protected from this wear. Background technique [0002] In the following discussion, only chutes are mentioned for the sake of brevity, although the invention is equally applicable to hoppers and other similar applications known to those skilled in the art. [0003] In material handling operations, conveyor belts are used to convey or transport material from one site to another. Chutes are used when ...
