Embodiment Construction

[0012] Below in conjunction with embodiment the invention is described in further detail.

[0013] The VCM hardware is taken as an example for illustration, but the application of the method is not limited to this hardware structure.

[0014] The VCM consists of a main control board and 16 fiber optic boards. Each fiber optic board has 8 channels of light receiving and 8 channels of light emitting. It is responsible for receiving information on the converter valve module and sending control information to the converter valve module. The optical board communicates with the main control board through the backplane bus. The main control board is responsible for receiving instructions from superior equipment, sorting module voltages, and generating trigger commands, etc. Each board is clocked at 100MHz. If the resource occupation of the FPGA is not considered, ideally, the optical receiving board does not need to sort, but directly sends the data to the main control board, and t...

Abstract

The invention provides a module voltage parallel multipath merging and ordering method based on an FPGA, and the method is a typical application of a divide-and-conquer method. The method comprises the steps: enabling existing subsequences to be combined, and obtaining a complete ordered sequence. The method can shorten the ordering time better. Compared with a conventional mode of employing a processor for serial ordering, the method employs the parallel advantages of the FPGA to carry out paralleling, improves a conventional multipath merging method, and enables the ordering speed to be greatly improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the control field of modularized multi-level voltage source converters, and relates to an FPGA-based method for parallel multi-way merging and sorting of module voltages. Background technique [0002] The power transmission technology based on voltage source converter is a new type of direct current transmission technology, which has many advantages compared with traditional direct current transmission. Modular multilevel converter is a new type of voltage source converter developed in recent years, which has the advantages of small harmonics and low loss. [0003] The control device determines several sub-modules to be turned on or off on the upper and lower bridge arms according to the AC voltage command, so as to generate a suitable AC voltage. Moreover, the control system ensures that the voltages on each sub-module are basically equal through a suitable algorithm. [0004] There are many NLC algorithms used in the contro...
