Abstract

The invention discloses an algebraic-specification to ontology-description conversion and assessment method of Web service semantics. The algebraic-specification to ontology-description conversion and assessment method comprises two parts that 1) two kinds of Web service semantics description methods are automatically converted, i.e., conversion of algebraic-specification to ontology-description is achieved; and 2) the ontology-description obtained through the conversion process is assessed. The conversion of algebraic-specification to ontology-description makes an algebraic-specification formalization method support automatic tests and verification and support efficient service search, and therefore function correctness and availability of Web services are improved. In order to verify the ontology-description obtained through the conversion process is high in quality, an ontology quality model aiming at Web service semantics description is provided, four objective quality standards are employed, eight measurement factors are constructed from four dimensions, and the ontology-description obtained through the conversion process is assessed through 37 measurement values. The conversion of algebraic-specification to ontology-description is feasible and effective.
