Service searching system

A service searching system for searching a service in a distributed system comprises a wireless server device and a wireless terminal device. The wireless server device is connected to a network and implements a master search service. On the other hand, the wireless terminal device implements a slave search service, and is capable of communicating with the server by wireless and utilizing the master search service. Besides, the wireless terminal device comprises a storage means that caches service objects obtained through the master search service. In addition, in searching the slave search service for a service, the wireless terminal device begins by searching the service objects cached in the storage means. In the case where the service is not detected, the wireless terminal device searches the master search service. The service objects are cached by being related to priority data. Thereby, there is provided a service searching system comprising a wireless terminal device, which is intended to search for a service in a distributed system in which a range of services are distributed in a network, wherein it is possible to cut down a service-searching time and costs, and further, it is possible to cut down communication interruptions by noise etc. in the wireless communication section compared to the conventional one.

The present invention relates to network computing and in particular to a method and respective system for operating a Web Services search method in a networked environment—in particular the Internet, wherein a Service Broker is requested by a Service Consumer for offering Web Services, and a Service Provider provides a requested Web Service to the Service Consumer, and wherein a Service Provider registers Web Services at the Service Broker and wherein the Web Services are implemented preferably by respective Remote Portlets running on a Portal Server of the Service Provider. In order to increase the search precision and the recall rate it is proposed to perform the steps of: a) retrieving data mining input data relating to description details of the inquired Web Services from respective Service descriptions of the inquired Web Services, b) performing a data mining function on said data mining input data, wherein a clustering is performed with a distance calculation function including said description details and wherein the clustering yields a cluster model comprising a plurality of clusters and a mapping for each Web Service to one of said clusters, wherein Web Services having a similar semantic meaning are collected in a single cluster, yielding a data mining result, c) adding cluster information comprised of said data mining result to a service model and storing this cluster information in a database, d) offering search response data based on said cluster model and service model.

The invention discloses a personalized search method for Web service recommendation. The personalized search method comprises the following steps of: 1, preprocessing a WSDL (Web Services Description Language) file, i.e., forming a bag of words through two preprocessing steps of removing stop words and extracting stems; 2, extracting user interest, i.e., calculating weight of each word in the bag of words by using an improved TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) formula, and multiplying by a time decay factor of the word to obtain a new weight; selecting previous k words according to the weight from large to small as interest words of a user and corresponding weight of each word to form a k-dimension user interest vector; 3, calculating interest similarity, i.e., setting a similarity threshold and selecting the users with interest similarity exceeding the threshold as neighbor users of a target user; and 4, ordering service search results, calculating a recommended predicted value of the service according to similarity of neighbor users and the frequency of selecting service of the users, and arranging the searched results in a descending order according to the recommended predicted value, thereby obtaining the personalized search result.
