The method is characterized in that an ONU module and an EOC module share a CPU (Central Processing Unit), an SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory) and a Flash memory; embedded software inside a CPU chip manages the ONU module and the EOC module simultaneously; and an FE (Fast Ethernet) interface of the ONU module is internally connected with an MAC / PHY (Media Access Layer / Physical Layer) chip in the EOC module to play a role in directly transmitting signals. Through adoption of the embedded ONU and EOC integrating method, two different modules are integrated together, one CPU is adopted for performing embedded control, and flows inside the two modules are managed in a centralized way, so that the hardware cost and the software cost are reduced; the size and energy consumption are reduced; and convenience is brought to installation and debugging.
