The invention provides an
information retrieval system for the accurate storage position of stock articles and the method thereof. The
system of the invention includes two parts of hardware and
software. The hardware comprises six parts including a
microcomputer for
system management and
data processing, a
radio signal receiver, a plurality of special warehouse entry radio scanners, a plurality of special warehouse exit radio scanners, bar codes on an article storage rack layer, and bar codes of articles. The
software comprises three subprograms including system management,
data processing and inquiry display. The invention has the fundamental principle that the bar codes attached on the stock articles and the bar codes on the article storage rack layer are scanned through the radio scanners, after the analysis and the
processing of the computer, the relation between each stock article and the storage rack layer is created, and the sequence information among the articles is confirmed, thereby obtaining the accurate storage position information of all stock articles, wherein, the information includes six level information including the building number, the floor number, the room number, the rack number, the rack layer number, and the sequence number of each layer where the article is positioned. The invention is characterized in that all stock articles do not need to sort and separate and stock in a
fixed position, and the mixed positioning of various articles cannot influence the accuracy of the
system information. In addition, the usage of the invention can reduce the
workload for the article entry / exit warehouse, thereby improving the working efficiency of the entry / exit warehouse, and improving the space
utilization rate of the storage rack.
