Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method for the indirect measurement of the phase delay of an RF-PWM modulator. The delay measurement system is used to measure the phase delay of an RF-PWM signal introduced in an RF-PWM modulator, wherein the RF-PWM signal comprises a sampling frequency and at least one carrier period in which the RF-PWM signal has symbols. The delay measurement system comprises: a first phase modulator circuit generating a first BPS signal having a first period and a second period based on an RF-PWM signal, the first period of the BPS signal having said symbol therein and the BPS signal The second period of has a 180-degree inverted version of the symbol; a second phase modulator circuit, generating a second BPS signal having a first period and a second period, the first period of the BPS signal having the symbol in it and the second period of the BPS signal has a 180 degree inverted version of the sign; a detector circuit, determining a phase delay of the RF-PWM signal based on the first BPS signal or the second BPS signal and outputting the phase delay.
