The solar hot-air rotor engine comprises a rotary cylinder, a pentagonal rotor located in the rotary cylinder and a first end cover and a second end cover which are located on two ends of the rotary cylinder, wherein the inner wall of the rotary cylinder is in sliding connection with the pentagonal rotor so that five air chambers are defined; an air sucking opening used for sucking external air is formed in the first end cover; heat exchange fins which are used for absorbing solar energy and heating air sucked in the five air chambers are arranged on the outer wall of the rotary cylinder; an exhaust opening used for exhausting hot air is formed in the second end cover; the rotary cylinder and the pentagonal rotor move relatively to change volumes of the five air chambers, so that external air is sucked in and hot air is exhausted; and mechanical work is output.
