The invention discloses a control method of a communication terminal. The control method comprises the steps of obtaining an environment capacitance value; comparing the environment capacitance valuewith a preset first interval; under a condition in which the environment capacitance value is located within the first interval, judging whether a first preset condition is met, so as to determine whether a comparison result that the environment capacitance value is located within the first interval is generated because of an access of a human body; and under a condition in which the first presetcondition is met, controlling a radio frequency module to perform a power reduction operation. Based on the control method disclosed by the invention, on the premise of guaranteeing the user security,the possibility that the radio frequency module executes the power reduction operation in an unnecessary state can be reduced, and the communication performance of the communication terminal is guaranteed. The invention further discloses the corresponding communication terminal.
