Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a device and method for positioning a data cable. The device comprises a first connector configured to connect to the first electronic equipment, and a secondconnector configured to connect to the second electronic equipment, wherein the first connector and the second connector are configured to allow the data transmission to the second connector from thefirst connector through the data cable, and each connector in the first connector and the second connector is configured to generate the same identifier for displaying at the display equipment of each connector, thereby positioning the data cable.
