Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, when the heating element is continuously heated during the energization period, the temperature of the heating element will rise significantly
When the peak temperature of the heating element becomes too high, there may be a phenomenon called ribbon breakage in which the ink ribbon melts and breaks, and a phenomenon called sticking in which the thermal head sticks to the ink ribbon or the printed medium, so Print quality may degrade

Embodiment approach 1

[0025] figure 1 It is a perspective view of the printing device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention. The printing device 1 is a printing device including a thermal head that prints on a to-be-printed medium, and is, for example, a label printer that prints on a long to-be-printed medium M in a single pass. Hereinafter, a thermal transfer method label printer using an ink ribbon will be described as an example, but the printing method is not particularly limited. For example, a thermal method using thermal paper may also be used. The to-be-printed medium M is, for example, a tape member including: a base material having an adhesive layer; and a release paper releasably attached to the base material so as to cover the adhesive layer. However, the to-be-printed medium M may be a tape member without release paper.

[0026] Such as figure 1 As shown, the printing device 1 includes a device housing 2 , an input unit 3 , a display unit 4 , an opening and closin...

Abstract

The invention provides a printing device, a printing method and a storage medium. The printing device comprises the components of a heat-sensitive head which is provided with a plurality of heating elements that are arranged to a line shape in an arranging direction that is crossed with the conveying direction of a printed medium; and a control unit which performs printing on the printing medium through the heat-sensitive head based on line printing data which are divided along the arranging direction, wherein the control unit performs random selected from first energization control and secondenergization control according to the temperature of the heat-sensitive head, wherein the first energization control is energizing the plurality of heating elements in a first line period for printing based on line printing data in the plurality of line printing data; and the second energization control is energizing the plurality of heating elements in a manner that the first line period comprises a non-energizing period in which the plurality of heating elements are not energized.

Description

[0001] References to Related Applications: In this application, priority is claimed based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2016-184163 filed on September 21, 2016, and the entire content of the basic application is used for this application. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a printing device, a printing method executed by the printing device, and a computer-readable nonvolatile recording medium storing a program. Background technique [0003] Conventionally, a thermal printer is known that performs desired printing on a medium to be printed by controlling energization of a plurality of heat generating elements provided in a thermal head. Such a thermal printer is described in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2011-126140. [0004] However, if the heating element is continuously heated during the energization period, the temperature of the heating element rises remarkably. When the peak temperature of the heating element becomes too high,...
