Abstract

The invention provides a descending system comprising a safety rope reel and used together with a rescue descending device, and particularly provides the descending system used together with the rescue descending device (RDD). The descending system allows a user to safely descend from an elevated structure and comprises the safety rope reel used for receiving a section of safety rope, and the safety rope is wound around the reel under the unfolding ready condition; the safety rope reel is mounted on a rigid frame so as to rotate around an axis and be allowed to provide controlled descending for the user tethered to the safety rope along with the RDD, so that the section of safety rope is allowed to be unfolded from the reel to the RDD; and the descending system further comprises a frictionmechanism, and the friction mechanism is mounted to the rigid frame and connected with at least one of the rope and the reel so as to be unfolded along with the safety rope to the RDD and produce a friction load, so that the safety rope is unfolded from the reel to the RDD in a controlled mode.
