The exhaust gas temperature sensor misconnection correcting method is applied to an engine controller and comprises the steps that under the situation that the operation working condition of an engine meets the preset correcting working condition, exhaust gas temperature sensors on a post-treatmentbox are subjected to fault diagnosis; if no exhaust gas temperature sensor has a fault, initial drift values of the exhaust gas temperature sensors are calculated; according to the initial drift values and the operation working conditions of the exhaust gas temperature sensors, the arrangement positions of the exhaust gas temperature sensors are determined; and the corresponding relation betweenthe exhaust gas temperature sensors and pins connected with the exhaust gas temperature sensors is corrected according to the arrangement positions. On the basis of the exhaust gas temperature sensormisconnection correcting method, the arrangement positions of the exhaust gas temperature sensors connected with the pins can be determined no matter how the exhaust gas temperature sensors and the pins of the engine controller are connected, misconnection is corrected timely, and thus the problem that the exhaust gas temperature of the engine exceeds the limit due to a control error of post-treatment is avoided.
