Abstract

According to the application provided by the invention, a mouse depression model is established through chronic mild unpredictable stimulation and feed containing the male hippocampus japonicus is fed to a mouse; the depression behavior resisting effect of the male hippocampus japonicus is evaluated through a forced swimming test; a possible mechanism is detected through molecular biological techniques including an HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) and the like. The research finds out that changes of hippocampus brain area neurotransmittersand metabolites thereof of the mouse are regulated and controlled by the male hippocampus japonicus and an intracerebral neurotransmitter level of the mouse is recovered, so that the desperation andhelplessness behaviors induced by CUMS (Chronic Unpredictable Stress) are improved and a novel way is provided for researching and developing a new anti-depression medicine.
