Problems solved by technology

However, in the actual ablation process, when the tissue temperature rises to the range of 70-100°C, the SAR will decrease rapidly due to the change of electrical characteristic parameters
Therefore, although SAR modeling has received a lot of attention, the accuracy of temperature distribution prediction still falls short of clinical needs.

Embodiment Construction

[0027] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.

[0028] In this embodiment, the experimental system includes a water-cooled MWA device KY-2000, a data acquisition device (34970A; Agilent Technologies Inc., Santa Clara, CA, USA), a thermometer, a peristaltic pump, and an isolated pig liver, such as figure 1 shown. The frequency of the MWA unit was 2450MHz and the power level was set at 60W. The water-cooled microwave antenna has a diameter of 1.9mm and a length of 180mm. Microwave energy is emitted by a slit with a width of 1.0 mm and a distance of 11 mm from the tip.

[0029] Step 1, using a water-cooled MWA device and an isolated pig liver to perform a microwave thermal ablation experiment to measure the SAR distribution;

[0030] Step 1.1, use the KY-2000 microwave ablation instrument to conduct 20 thermal ablation experiments on the isolated pig liver, obtain the average measured temper...

Abstract

The invention discloses an accurate characterization method of SAR in constant power microwave ablation, comprising the following steps of: utilizing a water-cooled MWA device KY-2000 and in vitro porcine liver for thermal ablation to determine SAR distribution. The MWA simulation model is established by using SAR distribution function and Pennes heat transfer equation in COMSOL software. Factor analysis in Minitab is used to study the sensitivity of the model parameters, and the specific feedback points of SAR are obtained. The feedback function of SAR is obtained by comparing the measured temperature with the simulated temperature at the feedback point, and the temperature field simulation is carried out to verify the feasibility of the method. By adopting the technical proposal of the invention, the problem that the SAR in the prior art cannot be accurately obtained due to the variation of the electromagnetic characteristic parameters is solved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of microwave ablation temperature field simulation, in particular to an accurate characterization method of specific absorption rate (SAR) in constant power microwave ablation. Background technique [0002] In recent years, Microwave Ablation (MWA) has become an effective electromagnetic ablation mode for clinical treatment of liver tumors. Its advantages lie in less trauma, faster heating rate, higher local temperature, larger ablation volume and Shorter treatment times. However, at present, the quality of MWA surgery still mainly depends on the experience of clinicians and lacks objective evidence. In clinical operations, 54°C is often used as the boundary threshold for the thermal coagulation zone of liver tumors. Therefore, accurate characterization of the thermal ablation temperature field is needed in the treatment of liver tumors to improve the scientific nature of MWA surgery. [0003] With the co...
