Abstract

The method is simple and convenient in operation and can obtain high-quality leech medicinal materials. By adopting the method, overall antithrombase total content of leech is maximum in the 5th day after sucking, which is increased by 49.5%, 73.5%, 69.1% and 126.0% when compared with that in the 1stday, the 3rd day, the 7th day and the 11th day after sucking. By applying the method, antithrombase activity of the leech is improved remarkably without increasing production cost, and leech medicinalmaterial quality is improved.
