Benefits of technology

This patented medicine for controlling insects was developed from natural plants found throughout India or China called crop-derived waxes (CW). These compounds were effective at killing many types of mothers but they also cause damage if used without proper care during production. They could potentially find use alongside traditional methods such as synthetic fertilizers and pesticidals.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to finding an effective way to control insects or disease without causing negative effects on humans and animals that consume them. Additionally, there needs be developed a natural medicine called Botanic Insect Technique (VIT) with improved effectiveness compared to traditional methods such as chemically-based agents like pyrethroids.

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of insecticides, particularly to a medicinal plant insecticide and a preparation method thereof. The medicinal plant insecticide is prepared from, by weight part, 15-35 parts of tobacco extract, 10-30 parts of ginkgo leaf extract, 8-25 parts of sophora root extract, 8-25 parts of derris trifoliata extract, 30-35 parts of ternate pinellia extract, 0.5-1 part of emulsifier, 0.5-1 part of penetrant and 0.5-1 part of stabilizer. By taking tobacco, ginkgo leaves, sophora root, derris trifoliata and ternate pinellia as the principal raw materials and processing different raw materials, the prepared medicinal plant insecticide can achieve significant killing effects of higher than 80% on plutella xylostella, helicoverpa armigera, aphidoidea and spodoptera exigua.
