The results show that the P450 enzyme encoded by the AoCYP_3836 gene can catalyze the oxidation of squalene to produce two new products: squalene-1,1'-diol and squalene-1-carboxylic acid-24-ol, providing a new pathway for the production of these squalene oxides.
