The method comprises steps as follows: rotten leaves, broken flowers, diseased leaves and dried branches are cut off from a collected fresh plant material; the specimen is washed and disinfected before the specimen is soaked in a solution, and microorganisms, eggs or larvae attached to the specimen are killed; the treated plant material is put in a color fixation solution for red plants, a color fixation solution for yellow plants or a color fixation solution for purple plants according to the color of flowers of the plant material, or is directly put in a 0.2% sulfurous acid solution or a 0.5% glycerin and 0.5% sulfurous acid solution to be preserved, and the plant material put in the color fixation solution is soaked for 3-10 days, taken out and washed clean with distilled water; the plant material is preserved in a preserving solution, and the solution preserved plant specimen is obtained. By means of the preparation method, brightness of flowers with different colors including red, yellow, white and purple can be guaranteed, and the color of green branches is also well preserved.
