The invention discloses an

twig cuttage propagation method. The method includes the following steps that firstly, matrixes of a
seedbed are disinfected, wherein before cuttage, the matrixes of the
seedbed are disinfected through a
potassium permanganate solution with the concentration being 3-8%; secondly, shoots are collected, wherein annual shoots of Butterfly seed trees are collected, and the thickness of the shoots ranges from 0.2 cm to 0.4 cm; thirdly, the shoots are processed, wherein the shoots are
cut into short shoots with the length
ranging from 6 cm to 8 cm, upper
pruning wounds are horizontal sections, lower
pruning wounds are short bevels, and the joint distance ranges from 0.3 cm to 1 cm; fourthly; the cuttage shoots are disinfected, wherein the cuttage shoots are placed in a
potassium permanganate solution with the concentration being 0.5-1.5% to be disinfected; fifthly,
hormone treatment is performed, wherein the cuttage shoots are placed in a solution in which
hormone is added for 1.5-2.5 h; sixthly, cuttage is performed, wherein the cuttage density is planting distance
ranging from 2 cm to 3 cm, line spacing ranges from 5 cm to 8 cm, and the cuttage depth is 1 / 3 of the length of the whole cuttage shoots; seventhly, the environment is controlled, wherein a full-automatic spraying
system is adopted, and disinfectors are sprayed once every other 5-7 d after cuttage; eighthly,
transplantation is performed. The propagation method is high in propagation speed and easy to operate and has a good promotion function on increasing the propagation coefficient of
Acer palmatum 'Butterfly' which is a good variety and enlarging the seed
seedling propagation number.
