Downhole gas-liquid separation device and working method thereof

A downhole gas-liquid separation device comprises a barrel-shaped body, and a positioning wheel is fixedly installed in the body. A rotatable swirling wheel is installed on the positioning wheel and provided with spiral wheel blades, and the positioning wheel is provided with fluid channels. A lower connector is connected to the body, a diverting joint is arranged at the inner end, located in an inner cavity of the body, of the lower connector, a gas outlet channel is formed in the center of the diverting joint in a coaxial mode, and the outer side of the diverting joint is provided with liquid drainage channels. An interval is formed between the swirling wheel and the diverting joint. The downhole gas-liquid separation device is small in part number, simple in structure and lower in cost; the swirling wheel is driven to rotate when liquid passes through the swirling wheel to enable the liquid to generate centrifugal force and swirlingly flow in the inner cavity in the mode of being attached to the wall, the liquid in gas is gathered to the center, and then the liquid and the gas flow out through the liquid drainage channels formed in the outer side and the gas outlet channel formed in the center respectively, so that gas and liquid separation is achieved; accordingly, the liquid sent to a motor does not contain the gas, damage to the motor is avoided, and the service life of the motor is prolonged.

Methods and apparatuses for interactive similarity searching, retrieval and browsing of video

Methods for interactive selecting video queries consisting of training images from a video for a video similarity search and for displaying the results of the similarity search are disclosed. The user selects a time interval in the video as a query definition of training images for training an image class statistical model. Time intervals can be as short as one frame or consist of disjoint segments or shots. A statistical model of the image class defined by the training images is calculated on-the-fly from feature vectors extracted from transforms of the training images. For each frame in the video, a feature vector is extracted from the transform of the frame, and a similarity measure is calculated using the feature vector and the image class statistical model. The similarity measure is derived from the likelihood of a Gaussian model producing the frame. The similarity is then presented graphically, which allows the time structure of the video to be visualized and browsed. Similarity can be rapidly calculated for other video files as well, which enables content-based retrieval by example. A content-aware video browser featuring interactive similarity measurement is presented. A method for selecting training segments involves mouse click-and-drag operations over a time bar representing the duration of the video; similarity results are displayed as shades in the time bar. Another method involves selecting periodic frames of the video as endpoints for the training segment.

Powered lower bobbin feed system for deflector type rotary braiding machines

A Powered Lower Bobbin Feed (“PLBF”) system is disclosed for improving the operation of deflector type rotary braiding machines, such as the Wardwell Rapid Braider. The PLBF eliminates or reduces the impulsive tension spikes set up by the deflection and feed process in current rotary braiding machines by uniquely controlling the lower bobbin filament feed. These tension spikes result from: the rapid rotational acceleration and deceleration required of the lower bobbin as a result of the feed process; the lever arm tension control and bobbin ratchet mechanism; and the shape of the filament deflector surface. Such failure limits the operating speed of rotary braiding machines, the minimum size of filament that can be braided effectively, or the ability to maintain the quality of the braid produced. By eliminating or reducing these spikes, the PLBF therefore can increase the working speed of circular braiding machines and improve the uniformity of braided filaments generated by such machines at a given speed. In the preferred embodiment, the PLBF comprises: a slip ring designed to provide power to the lower bobbins; a variable speed powered lower bobbin concept; a feedback control system for the bobbins to assure bobbin feed matches braid consumption; and an improved, more contoured, deflector surface to minimize feed tension spikes. The new contour can be created: by retrofitting existing deflectors with a spline; or, by making new deflectors that incorporate the overall contour of a retrofitted deflector.

Traffic surveillance method and system

The invention relates generally to a method and system for monitoring traffic events at a predetermined location, using a temporary video camera set up to record traffic movements through an intersection or other location along a road. The method preferably comprises taking a video recording of the location, and then sending the recording to a foreign country where the recording can be reviewed manually at a reduced cost. To facilitate an accurate and consistent review of the recording, the invention preferably uses “event lines” that can be superimposed on the video monitor, wherein the event lines help determine when a vehicle has passed through an intersection, i.e., when a recordable traffic event occurs. The system also preferably uses a computer-operated program adapted to assist the operator in reviewing, verifying and summarizing the recorded information, wherein a particular key or keys can be pressed depending on the type of event to be indicated. The system is also able to identify the exact frame number of a recordable event that corresponds to an exact moment in real time, i.e., when the event actually occurred. A tripod-like apparatus for temporarily setting up a video camera in locations where no existing pole or structure is available, as well as a tamper-proof housing in which the video recording device can be temporarily mounted, can also be provided.

Architecture physical data rapid three-dimensional sampling method

The present invention discloses a quick three-dimensional sampling method for physical data of a building. The present invention adopts a miniature unmanned aircraft to load corresponding types of sensing devices, data recording devices and information returning devices, etc., so as to acquire the physical data (intensity of sound, audio, temperature, humidity, illuminance, light color, gas components, electromagnetic field intensity, air-ion concentration, radiation strength, etc.) and carry out round trip flight in space and continuously acquire the physical data at each point of the path, and position the miniature aircraft by a photogrametry technology. The method concretely comprises the steps of: selection of the miniature unmanned aircraft for indoor flight, selection of sensing devices or sensors for sampling the physical data of the building, establishment of a system synchronous clock, sampling of the physical data of the building and accurate spatial positioning for the sampling points by a close-range photogrammetry method. Since the aircraft is fast in moving speed and is not restricted by the ground movement condition, the isochronism of the data can be ensured even if the number of the spatial sampling is largely increased than that of the ground operations.
