By adjusting the activity of neutrophil Myeloperoxidase (MPO), generation of inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-alpha is reduced, expression of an anti-inflammatory factor IL-10 is increased, inflammatory expression is inhibited, colon inflammation is improved by improving intestinal barrier, and potential application of polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharides in treatment of ulcerative colitis is expected to be explored.
